Home Made Beef Jerky Recipe
Mix the following ingredients together in a one gallon ZipLock bag:
|
|
|
- 2/3 cup Worcestershire Sauce
- 2/3 cup Soy Sauce
- 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper (coarse is best)
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder (not a salt mix!)
- 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder (not a salt mix!)
- 1 Tablespoon Salt (Adjust to suit your taste - The Soy Sauce provides a salty taste too.)
- 1 Tablespoon Liquid Smoke (OPTIONAL, but DELICIOUS! Not advised if you will be using a smoker, the smoke flavor gets too strong.)
- Add approx. 2 lbs sliced beef (or other red meat) of your choice.
Marinate for 8 to 12 hours.
|
~ Optional Ingredients: ~

- Replace Soy Sauce with equal amount of your favorite BBQ sauce (MMmm!) - OR -
- Replace Soy Sauce with equal amount of Teriyaki sauce - OR -
- Maple flavoring (adjust to suit your taste - a hint of maple flavor is really awesome!)- OR -
- For SPICY/HOT stuff try, 2-3 Teaspoons Tabasco Sauce and/or 1-2 Teaspoons Crushed Red Pepper
