SSGT Pedersen, USAF, Germany. 1994 Star Wars RULES!

I served fourteen years in the US. Air Force and one year on active Reserves. I have had an interesting time in my military travels and experiences. It has been an honor to serve my country. Be Happy, and Merry, and Cool.

I spent four years in England and then four years in Germany, and the rest of the time here in Maryland. I have a lot of good friends all around the world and think that's pretty cool. My heritage is Danish and I would love to explore that in greater depth. I am currently working as a web designer. Click here to see some of my work on a portfolio site I put up. Work contracts ran out with Hewlett Packard so I found a new company to work for. Before that I worked for General Dynamics as Senior Web Designer. My web career started in the Air Force doing Desktop Publishing that got transferred to web content. What I learned there paved the way for doing the web work I do now. I have also worked part time for CompUSA where skills in dealing with customers, and being knowledgeable about computer hardware and software came into play. It seems everything I have done in the past has pointed me directly right to where I am now - working in a dream job doing something I love!

Now defunct Door44 Design, Inc. ID badge

I had my own web design business for a couple of years, Door44 Design, Inc., but it took too much time away from my kids. Now I focus on kayaking, fishing, reading and just doing things with the kids and their friends.

Scarier than the X-Files!

I like to spend as much time with my daughters as possible. It's so incredible to watch them growing up and to hear their insights into things.

CompUSA Buddies Shelli and I have gone from wrassling around to watching favorite shows and working on web pages together. She's pretty amazing, ask her about Apache web servers and PHP programming some time, or even the procedure for an appendectomy - you may surprised! Occassionally she would work with me at CompUSA and she'd even help customers. Shelli quickly became the store mascot and still has friends working there.

Lilli and I like to goof around and make jokes and we share Hot Tamales, which she forced herself to like because I liked 'em. I think Lilli is going to be quite the prankster when she gets a little more sophisticated. She just has that air about her. I can't wait! Ocean City Lilli - 2001

The girls love to help me cook, work on projects or do just about anything. I even let them drive the van in empty parking lots sometimes! (I maintain the right to plausible deniability) Lilli was surprisingly good for how little she is behind the wheel. They have a blast when I let them drive, but we also talk about safety, using turn signals and seat belts and following the rules of the road. I just wish the days were filled with endless hours to snuggle, talk, read, play and laugh together. I treasure these times with the girls, and I know the days, and years will pass us by all too quickly.

Shelli shoots dad

Shelli snapped this digital image of me while sitting on the kitchen floor, taking a break from making Beef Jerky.

My hobbies do, and have, included computers (Commodore C64 started it), reading, writing (Sci-Fi and Faction - Fact-based Fiction) mostly), making BEEF JERKY, sword fighting, volleyball, frisbee, drawing, computer art, woodworking, canoeing, fishing, snorkeling, making jewelery, working with polymer clay, and University level studies (whatever is interesting!). The list could go on and on.

I prefer crowds of one or two (and two is usually pushing it) and mostly enjoy deep introspection, and the peace and solitude of Nature. Taking my kids out to learn about and enjoy nature has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

Don't worry about why, it just is."
